How Peerless Fence Partnered with C2 to Drive Sales Growth and Improve Closing Rates

Peerless Fence, a leading fencing company with over 40 sales representatives across multiple states in the Midwest, approached C2 Coaching and Training with a clear objective—increase sales, improve closing percentages, and establish a unified selling system. With their headquarters in Chicago and a long-standing reputation for quality and service, Peerless Fence recognized the need for a structured sales approach to ensure consistency and success across their growing team.


Assessing the Challenges and Opportunities


C2’s first step was to meet with key leadership at Peerless Fence to understand their company culture, values, and sales objectives. We then conducted in-depth interviews with sales leadership and some of the top-performing sales reps to learn about best practices, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.


What we found was a common issue that many expanding sales organizations face—a lack of a defined selling system. Without a structured approach, sales teams often operate like the Wild West, where every rep has their own method, leading to inconsistencies in customer interactions and closing rates.


Building a Custom Sales Training Program


Armed with these insights, C2 designed a custom one-day training program tailored to Peerless Fence’s specific needs. The training, conducted on August 27, 2024, focused on creating a disciplined, repeatable sales process, equipping reps with proven techniques to build rapport, present solutions effectively, and close deals with confidence. Not your average run of the mill sales training. It included participants in and out of their seats all day, working in small groups, and learning together. Custom workbooks were designed with their program and selling steps proven for success. Each sales reps also received copies of ExSpeaktations, C2 Coaching & Training founders latest book to help create mindset. Participants also received the 21 step I AM Intention Tracker used in the followup coaching sessions.

Ongoing Coaching for Lasting Results


Training doesn't end in a day—it requires reinforcement. To ensure long-term success and sustainability of the program, C2 followed up the initial training with an eight-week small group coaching program. This allowed us to refine skills, address real-world challenges, and keep the momentum going. An investment made in a one day training without the follow up is a mistake, when research shows that participants forget much of what is learned in only a few weeks time.




The results of the program

have been impressive—since the first training, Peerless Fence has seen over a 10% increase in sales and improved closing rates across the board.
